Tennis Court (4 Hard Courts)

A 27,810-square-foot, wheelchair-accessible, indoor tennis facility is located next to the Angus Glen Community Centre and Library on Major Mackenzie Drive East between Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road. Open since 2011, this facility features four indoor hard courts with a reception area, a fully accessible 4,200-square-foot member’s lounge with a viewing gallery, kitchenette, change rooms and washrooms. Those interested in improving their skills, the Tennis Centre offers introductory group lessons plus private and semi-private lessons. Summer and March Break tennis camp programs are also available.

Court Booking and Fees

Reserving Court Time

Reserving the tennis courts can be made 7 days in advance for residents with a Player’s Card. At this time, we have reached our capacity for new Player’s Card purchases.

Markham residents without a Player’s Card can reserve tennis courts on the same day they wish to play by contacting the Tennis Centre. A guest fee will be charged.

Renewing your Player's Card

You have 30 days to review your Player's Card from the date of expiry. After 30 days, you may place your name of the Player's Card waitlist.

Court Reservation Fees

(HST applies to all fees)

• Non-prime Time Court Fee: $21.59/ hour
• Prime Time Court Fee: $30.84/Hour

Player’s Card holders may only reserve/play a maximum of 2 reservations or up to 4 hours of play per week to ensure that all players have an opportunity to access the facility. Any court reservations that exceed this limit will be charged 25% of the reservation fee. Staff have the right to cancel reservations exceeding the 2-hour maximum per day.

Subletting or transferring of court bookings is not permitted.

Private lessons are not permitted unless offered through the City of Markham.

Cancellations require 24 hour notice. There are no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours a reservation start time.
